Apply to joinLanCul—Language and Culture Exchange—brings Korean English learners and international community members together for relaxed conversation, friendship, and cultural exchange.

International members share their experiences and culture while learning about Korean language, daily life, and local perspectives. The aim is a warm, lively space where people exchange ideas and build genuine connections.
You can hold a conversation in English and are willing to help Korean members communicate with more confidence.
You want to learn about Korean language and culture while sharing your own background and experiences.
You enjoy meeting new friends, listening with patience, and learning from people whose lives may be different from yours.

The conversation is informal. You do not need to prepare lesson plans, worksheets, or formal teaching materials.
Members talk about everyday topics, interests, travel, work, studies, culture, and personal experiences. Your role is to keep the exchange welcoming and active: listen, ask follow-up questions, include quieter people, and help the conversation flow.
When useful, you can help learners with vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and more natural English expressions. Corrections should be clear and encouraging, with communication and confidence taking priority over perfection.
The community continues outside scheduled conversation time.
Depending on the group and season, members may share meals, visit local sights, go hiking, play sports, join cultural activities, spend time in cafés, sing karaoke, watch films, or simply explore Busan together. These ordinary moments are where cultural exchange becomes friendship.
LZONE may also organize group outings and seasonal events. Participation in free-time activities is social and optional.
